ARSENAL Post Match Report Again Win Over Everton FC
Two goals in the space of three second-half minutes were enough to see off a spirited Everton side at Emirates Stadium. Petr Cech kept us in the game during the first half, saving well from Richarlison and the returning Theo Walcott, but the game was flipped on its head just before the hour mark. Alexandre Lacazette fired a superb opening goal, finding the top corner from 15 yards out, before Pierre-Emmerick Aubameyang made sure of the points shortly afterwards, when Mesut Ozil's cross fell to him via Aaron Ramsey. Everton started well, with Richarlison forced a good diving save from Cech midway through the first half, while our best chance in the opening exchanges was a charged down Nacho Monreal shot. The visitors continued to dictate the pace of the game, Cech having to race off his line to deny the advancing Walcott before the defence had to reorganise following an injury to Sokratis. Rob Holding, who impressed on Thursday night, replaced him. Cech was called upon late in the half yet again, and made a strong save to keep out a rising Richarlison effort.
